Metro TeenAIDS Wins Honor, Grant Award from
Leadership Greater Washington

Metro TeenAIDS is pleased to announce that we have been
honored by Leadership Greater Washington for our tireless work
in the DC area.

We were honored at this year’s Annual Luncheon and Legacy
Forum, celebrating 21 years of serving the DC Community. The
theme for the year is “Coming of Age, Coming Together.”

To help celebrate this milestone and to tie into the theme,
Leadership Greater Washington pledged to honor area youth at
the Luncheon and throughout the year.

Metro TeenAIDS was honored as an outstanding organization
that helps support, develop and nurture area youth. We
received special recognition at the Luncheon and received a
grant award of $3,200 which will be used to support our Youth
Leader Training Program.

In Washington, DC alone, there is nearly one HIV infected young
person in each classroom. In the midst of this crisis, the services
of Metro TeenAIDS have never been more important.
