On Saturday March 6th 2010 Metro TeenAIDS joined with the National Council of Negro Women (NCNW) to commemorate Women and Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day.At the NCNW headquarters (633 Pennsylvania Avenue NW) MTA and NCNW hosted the lunchtime session From Us to You, an inter-generational event that featured five distinguished panelists and experts on various areas of women’s health, free HIV testing, a small lunch, giveaways and monologues and poems. The event was led by one of MTA’s Peer Educator groups, the Young Women of Color Leadership Council (YWOC). View some of the photos of the event below:
