Metro TeenAIDS is part of the New Communities initiative that focuses on the Barry Farm community in southeast DC, which is an area that is often hit hardest by social disparities such as poverty, homelessness, joblessness and HIV. Through this initiative, MTA is providing free HIV testing and counseling as well as outreach and education services. At this Barry Farm block party event on September 16th, 28 people were tested for HIV!
