FOUNDER’S CLUB
Dear MTA Friend:
First and foremost, thank you for interest in joining the Founder’s Club, a network of donors and community thought-leaders for MetroTeenAIDS (MTA). The Founder’s Club is much more than a MTA’s major donor program, it is a pathway to success, and, ultimately a generation that is HIV/AIDS free. Members of the Founder’s Club contribute at least $100 a month or $1,200 annually to MTA. Benefits of being a member can be found here.
The Founder’s Club is named after our longtime supporter, and, yes, founder, Dr. Larry D’Angelo. “Dr. D” as we lovingly call him, represents the best of MTA and has a heart big enough to encompass all that we do and the lives we impact on a daily basis. Dr. D was a leader in the beginning, when he treated some HIV/AIDS earliest victims. In some cases, it was so early in the epidemic, that Dr. D didn’t know what he was treating them for.
Dr. D continues to stand with us – something I hope you will consider doing today by joining the Founder’s Club. Throughout this pamphlet you will read about what MTA is accomplishing as we work to ensure our youth have a home when it comes to receiving top-notch HIV/AIDS testing, compassionate and encouraging care, peer to peer counseling and education, and a staff that lives and breathes this work everyday.
If I had to pick just one reason why you should join the Founder’s Club, it would be that you can be the change you wish to see through this gift. You can change whether or not our youth face HIV/AIDS alone, you can change whether or not our youth decide to get tested, you can change the stigma of HIV/AIDS from being a label to being a part of life for some, and you can change the future by working with MTA for an HIV/AIDS free generation.
Again, I want to thank you for your interest in the Founder’s Club. For more information on the perks of being a Founder’s Club member, please check out our benefits page. All giving levels and associated benefits are listed in this pamphlet, but we would be happy to answer any questions you might have. You can reach a member of MTA’s Development Team by calling 202-543-8246 or by emailing [email protected]. I stand with you in solidarity, strength, compassion, and, as always, hope.
Warmly,
Adam Tenner
